Online Therapy That Works With Your Nervous System

A lot of my clients tell me online therapy is easier than they expected. For autistic women, it often works better than an office.

  • No drive, no parking, no waiting room.

  • Your lighting, your temperature, your sounds.

  • Your stim tools, your blanket, your pet nearby.

  • More energy left for the actual work.

You don't have to make eye contact. You don't have to look "engaged." Bluntness is welcome. So is needing extra time to find the words.

Does Any Of This Sound Familiar?

  • You've always felt like you don't quite fit, and nobody could tell you why.

  • You've been called "too sensitive" or "too much" your whole life.

  • A partner used those same words to make you doubt yourself.

  • You've collected diagnoses that never quite fit: anxiety, depression, C-PTSD.

  • You're starting to wonder if the through-line was autism or ADHD all along.

  • You're tired in a way sleep doesn't fix.

You don't need an official diagnosis to work with me. Lots of my clients are still figuring it out.

What We Work On

Emotional abuse hits differently when you're autistic. Gaslighting lands harder on someone who's been told for decades that she reads people wrong. Rejection sensitivity can make leaving feel impossible. And a late diagnosis can make you rethink every relationship you've had.

In our work, we:

  • Untangle what was abuse, what was masking to survive, and what's just you.

  • Help your nervous system come down from years of overload and burnout.

  • Rebuild the routines, interests and sensory comforts that got taken away.

  • Work on RSD and emotional regulation, without shame.

  • Make room for everything a late diagnosis brings up.

Some clients also use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). It's structured, it doesn't require retelling everything, and you stay in control the whole time.

I’m Amanda, and I Get It

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience. I'm also AuDHD. I work with autistic, AuDHD and neurodivergent women recovering from emotional abuse, relational trauma and burnout. My office is in Baton Rouge, and I see women all over Louisiana online.

Is This a Good Fit?

This is a good fit if you:

  • Are autistic, AuDHD or questioning. No diagnosis required.

  • Are healing from an emotionally abusive, narcissistic or controlling relationship.

  • Are in autistic burnout or worn out from masking.

  • Want a therapist who works with your wiring, not against it.

This may not be a fit if you:

  • Are in crisis or physical danger. Please call 988 or 911.

  • Want an autism or ADHD evaluation. I provide therapy, not testing, but I can share referrals for adult evaluations.

  • Want a quick fix. This work is deep and goes at your pace.
